Hi! I’m Alicia, a graphic designer and illustrator living in Portland, Oregon. I work with a top-notch crew of designers and project makers at Happylucky during the day, cuddle up with books at night, and spend every moment in between exploring Oregon and beyond, whenever I get the chance.
This is my shop, housing all the drawings I currently have a printed inventory of in this cozy little nook of the internet. If you see anything in my social feed you want a print of, drop me a line on my contact page.
As part of adidas’ United Against Racism Campaign, the adidas Community Platform was created to spark interest in and educate about the creative and sportswear industries among Black and Latine students. Happylucky was asked to bring the content of the curriculum to life, directing and producing the lesson plan videos, capturing images of the community mentors in their spaces, and developing the workbooks that tie everything together. My responsibility was to layout and produce the workbooks and event collateral, and put together the social media based on the captured content.
Each course spotlights a different Black or Latine community member from south central LA, NYC, Atlanta, and Louisiana. Mentors taught workshops on shoe design, technology, meditation, leadership through fitness, crowdfunding, urban gardening, grassroots leadership, social activism through art, and organizing for justice and equity.
