Oregon & Washington Elections PSA's

The Oregon Secretary of State asked us to deliver a campaign to inform Oregonians about the voting process and inspire Oregonians to vote. We created light, fun messaging through social posts, radio, email, video, and short animated gifs for social media. Blobby, the approachable character we developed to help share this information, represented diverse ethnicities, genders, body types, and political affiliations; and was featured in recognizable and treasured places around the state.

The success of Voting in Oregon Feels Good led to its presentation at the National Association of State Election Directors Conference as an example for other states to look to in combating misinformation without division. The State of Washington (my beloved home state) then reached out to ask us to do a campaign for them too.

For the Washington Secretary of State my team at Happylucky created a campaign around a character named Mark, The Ballot. Mark led viewers through the process of checking registration, how the Voter Roll works and is kept accurate, and how ballots are moved safely to voters and back to the state. Billboards, social posts, and radio spots were customized to locations across the state; and transcreated into five languages. The campaign was extended as motion and print graphics for college campuses, the state fair, and shared out at Seahawks games.
